Somehow I managed to get on a plane & fly to CA with the flu. I told Nikki I’m wearing leggings & no makeup to their session & I can’t stand up for very long. She said “I’ll bring you Gatorade & coconut water”. We finished their session & I could only HOPE that I got at least a few decent photos for them to use for their holiday card because I could hardly stand up straight let alone act like a clown to get the kids to smile, per the usual.

Though I was quarantined in a hotel room away from them & their kiddos 2 of 3 nights that I was there, these guys still took care of me (& their 3 kids). Nikki then helped me to get to my other sessions & photograph 12 more families that weekend. She kept me alive. She’s my hero.
